Founded in 1989, KAS is a fully accredited PreK–12 international school. As part of their Beliefs and Values unit, our Grade 4 students explored how values shape communities — and noticed that our KAS values weren’t clearly visible around campus. So, they decided to take action! 💪 Through gallery walks and interviews — including a special chat with Head of School Mr. Laney — students discovered what each value truly means to our community. Then, they brought those ideas to life by designing signs in Art and creating projects in STEAM, making Belonging, Personalized Learning, Stewardship, Well-being, and Excellence visible for all to see. #KASDragons #KASValues #StudentVoice #KASCommunity #LearningInAction

Shipbuilding Challenge ⛵️ As part of their Explorers unit, our Grade 5 students became shipbuilders! Each group researched a type of ship and spent six weeks in Makerspace designing and constructing their own from cardboard and other available materials. Their ships had to meet real design challenges — 100cm x 50cm in size, able to float, carry “cargo,” and stay upright in water for five minutes. Through this project, our young explorers showcased creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving as they brought their ideas to life! 🌊⚙️ #KASDragons #Grade5 #KASLearning #Makerspace #HandsOnLearning #STEMEducation
