🎭🎶 Grade 8 Interdisciplinary Unit: Identity Through the Arts 🎨✍️ In this Grade 8 IDU, students explored how personal identity can be expressed through music, performance, and visual art. By creating and analyzing self-memoirs, students shared authentic experiences and perspectives while developing their voices as artists and writers. 🫀 Biology in Action: Heart Dissection Lab 🧬 In Biology class, students explored how substances are transported in living organisms by comparing mammals, fish, and plants. To deepen their understanding of the human body, students investigated a pig’s heart, closely examining its structures and how each part is adapted to support its function. By engaging multiple senses through hands-on learning, students were able to strengthen their understanding and make meaningful connections between structure and function—because learning truly sticks when it’s experienced, not just observed. #KASDragons #BiologyInAction #HandsOnLearning #ScienceLab
