Elementary School

Welcome to KAS Elementary School!

At KAS, we offer a nurturing, stimulating, and collaborative learning environment for our young Dragons from PreKindergarten through grade 5.

Our Early Years Program focuses on the holistic development of each child, fostering academic, physical, social, emotional, and creative growth. In Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, students engage in exploration, creation, and discovery using hands-on materials. They learn through group activities, pair work, and independent play, all within a caring and engaging setting.

For students in grades 1 through 5, we follow the American education system and standards. Our curriculum subjects include English, mathematics, science, social studies, STEAM, art, PE, music, and Chinese language. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves, explore their interests, and develop the skills and knowledge necessary for middle school. Emphasis is placed on strengthening social and academic skills, particularly in English speaking, writing, listening, and reading.

We invite you to explore the information below to learn more about the learning experience at KAS elementary school. Being a part of our school community is truly a joyful experience.

Weekly literacy, music, physical education, and visual arts lessons with qualified specialist teachers give students the foundation for further study and exploration in these areas.

Bilingual Teaching Assistants (TAs) in every classroom serve as teaching partners and provide additional support and more personalized learning to help students grow and thrive.

A dedicated STEAM makerspace provides a state-of-the-art environment for students to create, problem solve, and develop 21st century skills.

We prioritize social and emotional learning and wellness with a dedicated full-time elementary school guidance counselor and relevant curriculum.

Parents are a valued part of our school community and join us on campus throughout the year for parent workshops, parent-teacher conferences, student performances, assemblies, and celebrations.

English language support and Chinese language instruction are integrated into our curriculum to support language acquisition and prepare students for success in middle and high school.

Students are offered two different choices for daily school lunches, with a specialized third vegetarian meal option.
