Founded in 1989, KAS is a fully accredited PreK–12 international school. We believe that a rich, holistic, and international education prepares students for an increasingly complex, multicultural, and rapidly changing world. Our highly qualified and diverse faculty, coupled with American standards-based curricula, the IB Middle Years Programme, and the IB Diploma Programme, inspire our students to discover what drives them, to challenge themselves, and to invest in their passions.

Our Grade 5 students recently welcomed Mr. Jin-Zong Guo, Deputy Director General of the Urban Development Bureau for the Kaohsiung City Government, as part of their city design unit. As students work in groups to create their own cities, they’ve been exploring urban planning, sustainability, government, and what makes a city a great place to live. Mr. Guo shared how Kaohsiung is building for the future and encouraged students to remember the importance of public spaces like parks for people to enjoy. A meaningful opportunity for students to connect their classroom learning with the real world! #KASDragons #ExperientialLearning

Over the past few weeks, KAS was proud to host both the U11 Soccer Tournament and the Varsity Girls TISSA Tournament on our campus! ⚽ A special congratulations to our U11 team for earning 2nd place after an exciting tournament filled with teamwork, determination, and great effort from our young Dragons. It was also wonderful to see our Varsity Girls compete and represent KAS during the TISSA tournament. Across both events, the KAS community showed up in full support—from classmates and teachers to families cheering from the sidelines. Thank you to everyone who helped create such an energetic and welcoming atmosphere for all teams involved! #KASDragons #KASSoccer

French artist Laure Catugier recently visited our Grade 8 and Grade 11 art students, sharing her work from a three-month residency at the Texture Printmaking Lab in Tainan 🇫🇷🎨 Through her unique approach, everyday product packaging was transformed into architectural, three-dimensional spaces—inviting students to see familiar materials in entirely new ways. She also introduced her artist books, designed to be explored from multiple angles, challenging the way we read and experience visual storytelling. Beyond the artwork, students gained valuable insight into the creative process and the realities of working as an international artist—an inspiring glimpse into what’s possible through art. #KASArt
