Digital Media High School
Digital Media
Grades: 10 – 12
Prerequisite: None
In Digital Media students are introduced to the process of graphic design for print via completion of the school’s print yearbook. Students research, sketch and annotate their designs before creating them via apps such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom. Students will learn and grow familiarity with design principles as well as processes they can use to improve creativity. Students will also be expected to work together and collaborate as design teams and work towards an overall larger goal by being responsible and organized. As an addition, students will also learn about photography and basic principles such as using aperture, shutter speed, ISO and other camera settings and techniques to maximize their photography skills. By the end of the class students should be able to create their own digital designs from the ground up.
