College Counseling

As an IB World School in Taiwan’s second largest city, Kaohsiung American School is dedicated to educational excellence and to preparing its students for challenging university study in the U.S. and throughout the world. The dedicated College Counseling team works closely with each student, advising and supporting them as they get ready to embark on their next chapter. 

As KAS students progress through high school, they become increasingly more knowledgeable, principled, curious, balanced, independent, engaged and open-minded. They are prepared for the next step in their academic journey. Our experienced College Counseling team supports students in navigating their future path and in aligning the college decision and admissions process with each individual’s strengths and goals. KAS has a strong history of admissions to many of the most selective and prestigious colleges and universities all over the world.  

Recognizing the important role that parents play in supporting their child’s journey after KAS, we invite them to meet with us individually and to be a part of the process. This team approach extends to colleges and universities. KAS hosts visits from admissions representatives from across the world to meet with students and share key information about their schools and programs. The strong partnership between our KAS team, students, parents, and colleges and universities is the foundation to our students’ success in achieving their higher education goals.

Request a Visit

KAS schedules and manages college and university visits through CIALFO College Visits and students are actively updated as visits are scheduled. You can also request a visit by directly contacting one of our College Counselors. We will work with your schedule to optimize time with students and parents, and can make recommendations about visiting nearby international schools to make the most of your time in Taiwan.
