Dear Parents,
I am pleased to inform the parent community that the local Board of Education has approved our plans to open the campus to parent visitors for special events, for appointments, or for organized meetings.
You will need an appointment to talk with a teacher or to attend a meeting on campus. Upon entering, parents must also have their temperature measured and scan the government’s QR Code for contact tracing requirements.
Concerts, sports games, grade-level informational meetings, and other events with larger parent numbers are also possible now. To attend a larger event, parents must fill in a Visitor Access Form (in English or Chinese) to enter the campus.
December 10 Winter Concert
The new BOE guidance means that parents are able to attend our Christmas Concert in the afternoon of December 10. There will be no parking available on campus on that day. Parents will be allowed on campus at 1:00 PM, 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the Elementary Concert. Parents are only allowed to go to the theater and not to the classrooms. When the Elementary Concert ends, we must clear the Theater for disinfection procedures as per CECC guidelines. Parents will be allowed into the theater at 3:15 for the 3:30 MS/HS Concert.
I am pleased that parents can come on campus for sports, concerts and other events. We are partners in your child’s learning adventures, and for too long that partnership has been limited because of the coronavirus. Thank you for your support and patience. I look forward to seeing many of you at KAS in the future.
Best regards,
Jim LaneyJr.,
Head of School
