We are immensely proud of our very own Kitty in grade 10, finalist in the World of 7 Billion student video contest.
There are over 7 billion people sharing the planet and we live in an increasingly connected world. In our global society, population pressures can affect our ability to sustainably use the earth’s resources and improve living conditions for all of the world’s people. Considering the interdependence of people and the planet, students from all over the world created short videos that illustrates the connection between population growth and one of the following global challenges: climate change, global poverty, or water sustainability. Mr. Oddo encouraged his grade 10 science students to participate.
Out of 929 submissions from students located across the US (39 states, DC, and American Samoa) as well as 26 other countries, Kitty’s video was a finalist for the 2013-2014 World of 7 Billion contest.
