Inclusion Coordinator & Literacy Specialist

Renee is joining the KAS community in 2020 as the MS/HS Inclusion Coordinator and Literacy specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst and a M. Ed. from Houston Baptist University. Over the past twenty years, she has taught ESL and Bilingual Developmental education to elementary students, and has served as a Learning Support specialist providing intensive interventions and instruction to students from 1st – 12th grade in Boston, Houston, Colombia and Panama. She holds certifications as a Bilingual Generalist, Spanish instruction from Massachusetts and Texas and an International Special Education Certification from SUNY Buffalo, NY. Currently, she is completing the Inclusive Leadership program from Lead Inclusion and San Diego State University. She has been trained in IBDP Inclusive practices. Renee is a 2006 – 2007 alumna of the Fulbright Teacher Exchange program which led her on the path towards international education. She is arriving in Taiwan with her husband and daughter after living, traveling, and working in Latin America for the past 13 years. As well the former Affiliate Director of Destination Imagination Panama. They enjoy fishing, snorkeling, traveling and bike riding.
