Kendrah Walker

Kendrah is joining the KAS team as a teacher in the lower elementary school. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics Instruction. Prior to starting her formal teaching career, she spent 3 years as Programs Coordinator and Educator with a Hands-On Science Museum in southern Oregon, working in the Maker Space, facilitating field trips, and designing learning periods for the neighboring communities. She is eager to be a part of the newly developed Maker Space community at KAS, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for genuine, hands-on, problem-solving experiences.

Kendrah then went into substitute teaching, gaining experience in grades Kindergarten through eighth in southern Oregon for 3 years. She was recruited to teach at an international school in central Mexico, spending 3 years working with lower elementary-aged students. During this period, she focused on literacy and phonics development and is excited to bring her experience to the KAS learning community. This will be Kendrah’s first time in Taiwan and she looks forward to the new experience and exploring with new friends.
