Kolas is an indigenous (Amis) Taiwanese-American international educator who attended private and public schools in the United States. In 2011, Kolas was selected to Cohort 8 of the Boston Teacher Residency, a Harvard Kennedy School of Government award-winning clinical teacher preparation program modeled on medical residency. As a proven educator, Kolas cares deeply about the craft of teaching through the intersections of equity, social-emotional development, and instructional design. He is passionate about public service, cycling, reading, and seeking out the Truths of human existence. Kolas lives with his dear Taiwan dog, Comet, and life hacks using the United Nations 21st century sustainability goals as a guide.
