Eva Martínez is joining KAS in 2020 as a High School Spanish teacher. Originally from Spain, Eva earned a BS from Bentley University in Massachusetts, as well as a Master’s degree in Portfolio Management from the Institute of Advanced Finance in Spain. She has always been an ardent advocate of education and decided to leave the banking industry to embrace a new career. Eva holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Spanish Language from The University of Sunderland, UK, as well as an IB Educator Certificate from DePaul University, Illinois. She is also certified as a Second language teacher by International House Spain and an accredited examiner for the Spanish Official exam DELE by the Cervantes Institute. Eva has also received training in IBDP Spanish and is fervently convinced of the value of second language learning. Prior to coming to Taiwan, she taught in Hong Kong and was one of the pioneers in developing the first Spanish Primary School in Hong Kong. Eva, her husband, and their three children are very content to return to Taiwan after a few months of lockdown in Spain. She enjoys traveling, loves dragon boating, scuba diving, and spending quality time with family and friends.
