Dawn came to Kaohsiung and KAS in 2007. She earned a BA in Literature from the University of California, San Diego, in 1992; a Masters in Educational Administration from Michigan State University in 2008; and has completed her coursework for an EdD in Leadership in International Education from the University of Minnesota. She has Teacher Certification from the state of California and administrative certification from the state of Michigan. In addition, she has completed training as an administrator in both IB MYP and DP. She currently serves as High School Principal. Before joining KAS, Ms. Rock taught in Yaounde, Cameroon; Beirut, Lebanon; Edmonton, Canada; Alexandria, Egypt, and in California. Having experience in elementary, middle, and high school teaching, Dawn appreciates all students’ journeys and strives to create a high school environment that values individuals and supports all to help them achieve success. Dawn has a husband who teaches in the high school and a son who began his school career in prekindergarten at KAS in 2007.
