Kaohsiung American School is excited to welcome Dr. Molly Fitzgerald to our Dragon family as the incoming Elementary School Principal. Dr. Fitzgerald has earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees in education at universities in the USA. She has 30 successful years of experience as an elementary principal with most of that time working with students and staff in the state of Wisconsin. Dr. Molly also enjoyed a leadership role as principal in an international school in the Guangdong Province in southern China. She has dedicated her career to supporting students to meet and exceed academic and social goals while developing meaningful relationships with all stakeholders. She brings a rich background in elementary programs and learning to KAS. Her passion lies in making professional relationships that will empower others to reach milestones of success and to be their best. Dr. Molly enjoys mentoring others as she also learns and grows as an educator.

In her personal life, Molly is the mother of three adult children. Her children include a lawyer specializing in family law for diverse clients, a biochemist working in pharmaceutical sales, and a technology sales specialist. They live in Wisconsin, Washington state, and North Carolina.

Dr. Fitzgerald is eager to join the KAS community! She has dedicated her career to improving learning for all students in the schools she’s led. Dr. Molly will continue the traditions already in place and will build upon the academic foundations that others have established at KAS. She is looking forward to meeting the students, staff, and parents in our community, exploring Kaohsiung, and living on the beautiful island of Taiwan.
