KAS in the Community

Future Leaders Program

Students learn about program offerings in the Culinary sector

The Future Leaders Program serves to strengthen and enhance the skill sets, mindsets, and the future talent pool of the next generation of leaders. Young adults have unrealized potential as they embark on their journeys to find possible career interests, learn professional attitudes, and know more about themselves and their communities. The KAS Future Leaders Program is an opportunity for students to learn about the reality of their interested
career fields under the guidance of esteemed mentors and professionals currently serving in the field, while allowing businesses and industries to connect with promising talent of the future.

The mission of the Future Leaders Program is to support the growth, development, and maturation of current KAS students in 3 major areas:

  • Mentorship
  • Career Exploration
  • Connections, Networking, and References

Service Learning

Class of 2019 students teach English lessons with childen in Duona 多納

Each year, seniors at KAS have one special task before graduation. Senior Projects, which take place in the community and happen after exams are completed, are the last step before graduation. This program brings students closer to their neighbors and helps leave an indelible mark before they leave our campus for their worldly adventures. Each senior project is unique, and the goals and methods are determined by cohorts working to solve problems in and around Taiwan. Popular on-going work is focused on healthcare and bilingual education, with teams of young adults volunteering in local clinics and classrooms to share their knowledge and time.
