A Green School
KAS has always promoted the concept of sustainability in our curriculum at all grade levels. Our new School, built to LEED standards, will enable teachers to enhance their instruction with real-life applications. The “green” features will provide educational opportunities for students to explore, study, and experience authentic examples what is being done to promote long term sustainability in our world.
Beginning in pre k, where students grow plants and learn to use recycled materials through high school where students are able to conduct experiments and analyze data, the LEED features of our school will serve as a laboratory for inquiry and study.
To High School
Our High School Science Club has been extensively trained to provide ongoing orientation and guided tours to our internal and external community. We are committed to sustainability education as an integrated and ongoing component of our core curriculum.
