We extend our heartfelt sympathies to all who have become sick, and those who have died due to the deadly coronavirus that is currently spreading around the world. We remain especially concerned about indicators that people could possibly contract the virus and spread it to others even before symptoms appear. As many in our community have traveled for the holiday, it will take some time to know how the virus has spread.
We are taking every precaution to protect our students and our community. Accordingly, KAS HAS MOVED TO ONLINE INSTRUCTION (‘DIGITAL DAYS’) EFFECTIVE THURSDAY, JANUARY 30. Through Digital Days we will ensure that rigorous learning continues during this time.
We started with middle school and high school Digital Days on January 30, and elementary school Digital Days began on January 31. We will continue to monitor the situation closely. At this time we intend to continue with Digital Days through the remainder of this week. I will continue providing regular updates to keep you informed. As we get continuous updates and make the necessary changes and adjustments, we ask for your patience and support.
Please note the KAS campus will be closed to students, families, and visitors during Digital Days.
We encourage families to follow all suggestions from the government health agencies regarding staying safe.
Please stay tuned for more information from Principals and Teachers about the online learning that will take place on these Digital Days. You will hear from Principals on Wednesday morning, and from Teachers on Wednesday or Thursday.
Please contact our front office or your school Principal with questions and for the most current information.
