Today, Kaohsiung American School welcomed Mr. Zholl R. Tablante, Senior Assistant Director of Admissions for Dartmouth College. He met with a vibrant room of parents, students, and faculty in the KAS Lecture Hall.
Dartmouth College is a private Ivy League research university located in Hanover, New Hampshire, United States. It consists of a liberal arts college, the Geisel School of Medicine, the Thayer School of Engineering, and the Tuck School of Business, as well as 19 graduate programs in the arts and sciences.
Incorporated as the Trustees of Dartmouth College, it is one of the nine Colonial Colleges founded before the American Revolution. With an undergraduate enrollment of 4276 and a total student enrollment of 6342 (as of 2013), Dartmouth is the smallest university in the Ivy League.
Mr. Tablante spoke about the Dartmouth Plan, as well as the school’s worldwide alumni network, low faculty-to-student ratio, rural setting, and commitment to undergraduate education. He explained the admissions process and gave advice to would-be applicants on the best way to present themselves to the admissions committee.
KAS was proud to host this event and provide our students with the opportunity to speak directly to the admissions officer who will personally be reading their applications.
